Who we are

Mobile Farmers Market

A farmers market on wheels, bringing fresh fruits and vegetables to more than 80 sites across San Joaquin County. Families with children and seniors receive free produce, nutrition education, and cooking demonstrations that make healthy eating easier and more accessible.

In many neighborhoods, healthy foods are hard to find and grocery stores are out of reach. The Mobile Farmers Market closes this gap by delivering nutritious options directly to those who need them most - helping reduce hunger, improve health, and encourage lifelong healthy habits.

A STRATEGIC PILLAR

Food as Medicine

Our Healthy Food RX program teaches how to use nutrient-dense food to help prevent chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension - addressing the social and economic barriers to good health.

A recipe-based food box filled with nutrient-dense items is delivered to participants' doorsteps. Our Nutrition Educators lead nutrition workshops and cooking classes, including live cooking demonstrations, so participants learn to make the recipes and understand the nutritional value of each ingredient.

GROWING GREENS, EATING LEAN

Community Garden

Ever thought about growing your own fruits and vegetables but didn't know where to start? Our hands-on program teaches neighbors to grow, create, and sustain a vegetable and fruit garden - saving money, encouraging family participation, and putting a farmers market right in the backyard.

Through classes on gardening, agriculture, and nutrition, families learn that access to fresh produce can be sustainable at home. With the right skills and training, they can positively impact their own health and nutrition for years to come.
